1. Introduction

Green Pipe (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates checkgreenpipe.com (the “Service”), a Nintendo Switch and Steam game price tracker covering 48 countries. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Green Pipe does not require account creation. We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, or payment information. Wishlist data you create is stored locally in your browser (via localStorage) and never transmitted to our servers.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit the Service, we (or our third-party providers) may automatically receive standard log data such as:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Device type (desktop / mobile)
  • Approximate geographic region (country level)
  • Referring URL and pages viewed
  • Date and time of access

This information is aggregated and used only to understand traffic patterns and improve the Service.

2.3 Cookies and Local Storage

We use localStorage (not cookies) to remember your theme preference (light/dark), preferred display currency, and wishlist. These are stored only on your device and can be cleared at any time via your browser settings.

Third-party services we integrate (see Section 4) may set their own cookies, governed by their respective privacy policies.

  • To operate and maintain the Service
  • To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the user experience
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Cloudflare

The Service is hosted on Cloudflare Workers and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-first product that does not use cookies and does not fingerprint or track individual users across sites. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

4.2 Google AdSense

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or learn more at Google's Advertising Policy.

4.3 Affiliate Links

Some outbound links on the Service are affiliate links (e.g. to digital game card retailers). If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate networks may set their own cookies to attribute referrals.

4.4 Data Sources

Pricing data is fetched from public APIs (Nintendo eShop, Steam) and community sources (titledb, HowLongToBeat, DekuDeals). No personal data of yours is sent to these services.

5. Data Retention

We do not maintain a database of personal user information. Server logs from Cloudflare are retained per Cloudflare's standard retention policy. Local data (theme, currency, wishlist) persists in your browser until you clear it.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we do not maintain user accounts or personal records, most of these rights are self-served — simply clear your browser's local storage and cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
